Yeti are low-level enemies (just above zombies in toughness, I think) that can be found in northwest Mountain Pass. These are low in spawn count and are slow to respawn. This is offset by the wonderful $750 per kill for the Yeti-Hunting Contract which you can buy in Botany Bay.
Fighting the YetiEdit
Yeti do unarmed beat damage which you can mostly negate with the High Density mutation. If you lack the mutation, wear leather jackets or something. Their attack speed is pretty slow, so you won't take much damage at all during a fight if you have good protection for the times they do hit you.
They will fight amongst themselves from time to time, making them much easier to kill or take by surprise. They'll also fight rabbits.
Occasionally, a Yeti will aggro you. This doesn't happen all the time, so you can evade squares with multiple Yeti if you aren't feeling up to taking a major beatdown.
It seems that as of August 15th, Yeti have been buffed up and are now pretty tough. One may endanger your life, and two or more will kill you.
Added by Sway - Ice yetis are best fought using guns. Hide first, and then attack. They dal psychic damage, so armour is no use - you need to be able to dodge their attacks and hit them hard and fast. They are a giant pain in the ass for my corpmates who use melee weapons, but easy for me and my bullpup. Guess who gets sent pelt hunting?
